Description
Three traditional Breton style self-catering holiday cottages (gites) two on the edge of Lizio (peitie cite de caractere) and one on the edge of Le Roc St. Andre in an area of outstanding natural beauty. They are central for the coast and beaches at the Golfe of Morbihan, close to the historical towns of Josselin, Ploermel, Rennes, Vannes and Malestroit and many other local attractions.
This part of France is an ideal centre for many activities, Lizio has its own 25km of cycling VTT off road track around the tracks and forestland. There is also the "Voie Vert" at Le Roc St Andre, a disused railway track turned into a cycling and walking track. There are many golf courses within easy reach of Lizio. There are plenty of walking and rambling tracks and quiet roads to walk on around this area. There are two lakes for fishing in Lizio and the Nantes to Brest canal nearby. The Lac au Duc at Ploermel is an ideal centre for boating, it has canoes, windsurfing, pedlos and other water sports, it also has a beach and activity area. There are also tennis courts and a football pitch in Lizio that are open to the public. Both Lizio and Le Roc St Andre has their own resident potters with their own pottery showrooms open to the public and both villages have horse riding centres. Lizio has two museums and a cidery Twice a year Lizio has an art festival with people painting scenes of the local area and an exhibition of art. The local area is famous for it megaliths and archeology and there are many with in local reach.
Gite (1) Sleeps 4/2 Cot, Gite (2) Sleeps 6/2 Cot, Gites 1 & 2 have private enclosed gardens and patio area with garden furniture and BBQ, with access to large open garden with boule and table tennis and ample space for sports and activities, bike hire available (on request).
Gite 1 and 2 also have a 5mX8m swimming pool in the large garden.
All bedding, towels and electric central heating and gas are included in the price.
Gite (3) Sleeps 6/2 Cot, Gite 3 has a large fenced garden and patio area with BBQ and garden furniture and private parking ample space for sports and activities, bike hire available (on request).
